Looking for easy, nourishing breakfast ideas?

If you’re anything like me, mornings can be a crazy time. With lunchboxes to organise, lost school books to be found, washing to hang out and dogs wanting to be fed, it doesn’t always leave much time to think about breakfast

Here are a few simple, nutritious breakfast ideas that are suitable for the whole family and on the table in 5-10 minutes.

Each breakfast option is packed with nutrients and provides a good balance of protein, healthy carbohydrates, good fats and fibre to keep kids (and adults) feeling full, focused, calm and happy

I've included a few super nutritious optional extras in some of the suggestions, for example, hemp seeds, LSA, chia seeds and dulse (seaweed) flakes. Hemp and chia seeds are high in protein and fibre and dulse flakes are packed with essential minerals, including calcium, potassium and iodine. All of these foods can be found in supermarkets.

If you like to be extra organised, you may prefer to prepare breakfast the night before. Great make-ahead options include overnight oats and chia puddings.

(the blog also talks about the breakfast options I avoid and the reasons why, in case you are interested!)

So, why not get the kids involved and revamp your family's breakfasts with some of these simple, nourishing ideas. Let me know how you go!
